A Meaty Greeting

Hello to all you snowdrenched New Englanders. Here in sunny St. Barthes I'm beginning to forget about the drifts of snow piled all 'round you but I am not without sympathy. I raise my Mojito to you and assure you that these frosty days will be long forgotten by the time you all come out for Cirque de Menthe. The sharper of you may already be prepared for a rather demented night.

A Nasty Cold

Elizabeth, faithful editor of Meat for Tea, has a very nasty cold which has done little for her motivation to write. Sneezy and coughy is she.  So, I, Meaty, am filling in for her. I am traveling again and am en route to St. Barthes, where I typically Winter. This Winter, as all who were present at the last Cirque know, I felt compelled to lend a hand in Haiti before enjoying sun, sand, and umbrella drinks. Maybe I'll be able to catch up with my mate Keith, who often makes appearances at St. Barthes and who dined at The People's Pint with me, some 9 months ago. Despite his inability to order an entire bottle of whisky there, he very much enjoyed the food and drink he did have. We're experience a bit of turbulence up here and I'll have to sign off for now.

Snow Day

Even heavy drifts of snow have not gotten in the way of the continues growth of Meat for Tea. Indeed, it looks like the next issue will be one of the loveliest and most engaging yet, since a new, very talented pool of writers and artists, have joined with some of our regular contributors to create what looks like a very rich edition of the magazine. We are now in a tea cycle of the magazine and, in keeping with this, the upcoming issue will be themed "Mint." This refreshing edition will be released on May 8th, at The Elevens. Suitably the event will be called "Cirque de Menthe." Happy Valley Showdown finalists, Bela's Bartok, are already booked to play the show, Stay posted for other acts as they get booked.
